Surrounding the unseen kernel of learning is an incredibly complex system of institutional structures, market interactions, and biological processes that, together, set both possibilities and parameters.

With an unprecedented rise in complex systems for government support of education, more students in postsecondary institutions than at any other time in history, technological breakthroughs emerging at a breakneck pace, and the rise of a for-profit education sector that pushes at traditional boundaries, it is important to interrogate the world around learning- to ask what’s happening, and what should be.

I’m a former teacher, an institutional researcher, and a student of public policy.  This is my attempt.
